On June 19th, Saint Luke Society Korea conducted Healing Hands medical outreach at Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary (PUTS) in Seoul.
It was specifically organized for overseas students and those who are less privileged in getting medical attention. The outreach provided medical services in five different areas including internal medicine, dentistry, Korean medicine, orthopedics, and pharmacy.
The medical service began with orientation in which volunteers received training and learned their responsibilities before they were designated to each department. After the medical outreach, there was a time of receiving feedback and reflection from the participants, followed by the appointment of new Healing Hands campus representatives for Hanyang University and Seoil University.
SLS Healing Hands team shared, “This medical outreach added special meaning to it because it was conducted at PUTS, which St. Luke Hospital established MOU with. It was a meaningful time because we could provide participating students with rich experiences along with medical advice, also share SLS vision for the medical mission.”
SLS Korea will endeavor to deliver the message of the gospel through medical outreach while expanding the campus mission in major universities across the nation.
