On October 1st, Saint Luke Society Africa conducted its 3-day medical outreach program, which drew over 400 patients from a village called Erin-Oke in the state of Osun, Nigeria.
The aim of the medical outreach was not only to carry out the love of Jesus in fulfilling his healing ministry, but also to recruit medical personnel and raise the current members to be leaders. As part of the outreach program, a retreat for members was organized to promote members’ spiritual growth and commitment to SLS, and it consisted of Bible studies, prayer, morning devotions, and ministry presentations. SLS Africa will endeavor to enhance the health status of the local community and raise future leaders in the medical society, thus fulfilling the ministry of Jesus.
