Saint Luke Society’s 16th World General Assembly themed on Isaiah 6:8 “Here I am, Send me!” concluded on the 16th of September.

Previously, the members and leaders from China, Korea, United States, Latin America, and Southeast Asia arrived in Jeju Island, South Korea on September 14.

The following day, the Opening Service was held in the premise. It was followed by Bible Studies and special lectures by Dr. Myunseip Shin and Dr. Joseph Lee. The day continued with the presentation from the representatives of various regions, Bible Studies, and Nightscape. It was then concluded with the Prayer Meeting hosted by the Elim Ministry.

On the early morning of 16th of September, the representatives from regions held a conference in order to prepare for the plans for the upcoming months and for the year 2019. New proposals and new goals were made and various strategies were shared in order to strengthen the mission and evangelism.

The closing service was delivered by Dr. Joseph Lee, in the Gospel of John 2:1-11, titled “Fill the jar with water.” The sermon focuses on how we should live our life full of hope for the future to come. As we are the face of evangelism, we should have full hope affecting the others near us.

In the sermon, Dr. Joseph shared that we are to fill our jars with water as Jesus commanded us. God gives us the blessing but it is a must to fill our jars first. When our jars are filled, God has the power to give great change. The power of changed doesn’t come from us but rather it comes from God, after we prepared ourselves; God can bring the dramatic change.

Another point in Dr. Lee’s sermon was the life in our path of faith. There are times that we thought that we are in a circle, however, in fact, we are moving closer to our goal.  Our future is brighter than our present, and God will bring us in this place of glory.

After the sermon, the members of Saint Luke Society went to tour the Jeju Island. Last moment fellowships were held, with the goodbyes full of hope for the success for the upcoming year.
